What documents do I need for verification?

Depending on your case, we may ask for any of the following.

Identity and age

A valid, unexpired government-issued identity document — passport, national identity card or driving licence — confirming you are at least 18 (or the higher minimum age where you are).

Residential address

A recent proof of address — utility bill, bank statement, government-issued letter or equivalent — issued within the last three months, showing your name and current residential address.

Payment method ownership

Evidence that the card, bank account or e-wallet you used is held in your own name. For cryptocurrency, the standard is that the wallet is under your own control.

Source of funds

Where the size or pattern of transactions warrants it — in particular where cumulative deposits, withdrawals or a single transaction exceed EUR 10,000 or equivalent — we may ask for documentary evidence of where the funds came from (payslips, bank statements, exchange or on-chain records) and, where appropriate, of your overall wealth.

Selfie or live check

We may ask for a selfie, a photo of you holding your ID, or a short live video check to confirm the document belongs to the person operating the account.

Document requirements

Documents must be:

  • valid and, where applicable, unexpired
  • issued in your own name, matching your account details
  • photographed or scanned in colour, with all four corners visible and all text clearly legible
  • complete — partial images, screenshots of images, and documents that have been edited, cropped or altered in any way are not accepted

If a document is in a language we cannot review, we may ask for a translation. Accepted document types vary by country; where a type is not available where you live, we will tell you what we accept instead.
