Source of funds requests

Sometimes we ask for documentary evidence of where the money you are playing with came from. This is a standard part of an account review under Section 5 of the Terms, and it is required of us by anti-money-laundering rules.

When it applies

Where the size or pattern of transactions warrants it — in particular where cumulative deposits, cumulative withdrawals, or a single transaction exceed EUR 10,000 or the equivalent — taking your record into account.

It can also be triggered by circumstances rather than size — a connection to a jurisdiction identified internationally as having AML weaknesses, politically exposed person status, a transaction pattern that doesn't fit genuine gameplay, or a document that appears altered. In those cases a withdrawal may also need senior review before it is processed. See The checks we run, and why.

What to send

Documents evidencing the origin of the funds you used, for example:

  • payslips or employment income records
  • bank statements
  • cryptocurrency exchange records or on-chain transaction records
  • sale documents, inheritance or gift documentation

Where appropriate we may also ask for evidence of your overall wealth.

Effect on a withdrawal

Where source-of-funds evidence has been requested, processing of the affected transaction begins once satisfactory evidence has been received. Sending complete documents the first time is the fastest route.

Documents are sent through the verification section of your account, and are handled under our Privacy Policy. Verification records are kept for at least five years after the end of the customer relationship, as required by AML rules and our licence.
