Sent to the wrong address or network

Cryptocurrency transactions are irreversible. Neither we nor anyone else can reverse a transfer once the network has processed it.

What cannot be recovered by us

Funds are outside our reach when they were sent:

  • to an incorrect address
  • over an unsupported or incorrect network
  • without a memo or tag that the network required
  • in an asset that is not supported

Funds sent on a network other than the one shown on the deposit screen are not credited automatically. If this has happened, send the transaction hash (TXID), currency, network and amount to customer support and we will check whether recovery is possible.

Where recovery is technically possible we may attempt it at our discretion, subject to a recovery fee — but we cannot give any assurance that an attempt will succeed, and in many cases no attempt is possible at all. Even where recovery is possible, it can take time and incur network fees.

If your deposit simply hasn't arrived yet

That is a different situation and it is often fixable. Before assuming funds are lost, check that the required confirmations have completed — see Cryptocurrency deposits.

If the confirmations are done and the deposit still isn't showing, email support@buunix.com with:

  • the transaction hash (TXID)
  • the currency and network you used
  • the amount sent

We investigate with our payment partners, and where the funds can be identified and attributed to your account, we credit them.

Amounts credited in error

If an amount is credited to your account in error, it does not belong to you and may be corrected. Please tell us rather than playing with it.

How to avoid this

Before every transfer, check the address and the network against what the cashier is showing you, and copy the address rather than typing it. See Which cryptocurrencies and networks we support.
