Cryptocurrency deposits — confirmations, fees and networks

Choose the coin and network first

Pick the cryptocurrency and the network standard in the cashier. It then shows a deposit address specific to your account and to that asset, plus a memo or tag where the network needs one. Send only to the address shown for the asset you are sending. See Which cryptocurrencies and networks we support.

Minimums

Each cryptocurrency has its own minimum deposit, displayed in the cashier. Amounts below it may not be credited and may not be recoverable.

Confirmations

Crypto deposits are credited after two (2) network confirmations. Where a particular network requires more, the number shown in the cashier applies.

Once the required confirmations are reached the deposit is credited — usually within a few minutes. The time depends on the currency and network you use and on network congestion.

Network fees reduce what arrives

The amount credited to your account is the amount actually received after network and processing fees — which can be lower than the amount you sent.

This matters for promotions, because qualifying thresholds are assessed on the credited amount. If you are depositing to qualify for an offer, send slightly above the threshold: for example, send $25 or more to be sure of qualifying for the $20 Welcome Bonus minimum.

Irreversible, and network-specific

Cryptocurrency transactions are irreversible. The company is not responsible for funds sent to an incorrect address or over an unsupported network. Always check the address and the network before sending.

Your balance is in USD

Account balances are denominated in USD. A crypto deposit is converted at the rate shown in the cashier at the moment it is credited, after network and processing fees — so the amount that lands can differ from the amount you sent. Your balance then stays in USD, whatever the cryptocurrency's price does afterwards. When you withdraw, you are paid at the exchange rate at the time of withdrawal, so the amount of cryptocurrency you receive may differ from the amount you deposited. The market value of cryptocurrency moves quickly; we are not responsible for rate movements between deposit, play and withdrawal, and balances are not bank deposits, are not insured or guaranteed, and do not earn interest.

The wallet has to be yours

You may deposit from any wallet, provided the funds lawfully belong to you and the wallet is under your own control. Deposits from third parties, or from an exchange's pooled address where ownership can't be established, may be rejected, frozen or returned — see Why a deposit can be rejected, frozen or returned.

Further terms are set out in the Crypto Policy, which forms part of your agreement with us.

If your deposit is short of a threshold

If your first deposit lands below a promotional minimum because of fees, contact support — see My deposit hasn't arrived or was rejected.
